Woodworker Aaron Cathcart in his workshop.

Art is an idea, a thought forged in the fire of our own will and wrought into existence with our hands and bodies. As artists, we, to an extent, play god, as in small part we have the ability to both create and destroy. To understand the old and ever changing world around us, to capture and mimic but a small fraction of it's beauty and captivating mysteries, is a humbling and never-ending lesson in perfectionism. For perfection is an idea, and not a destination. And Mother Nature is the greatest, most masterful craftsman of all.
